Artica Fine Art

On my way to the National Gallery, I came across this small gallery called ‘Artica fine art’. This gallery is also a shop which displays works of artist. The works vary from fine art, limited edition prints and sculptures.

I thought the works in the gallery were inspiring. I did not take any pictures inside although I did take a closed up picture of the painting in front of the shop, which is posted below.

I really like this painting because I like how the artist has captured a bit of London in a painting. Also, putting the iconic London red phone box, black cab and the double decker red bus, I think says it all about London. I also like the way he used black and white lines to show the movement of the cab and bus. He used the same bold lines for the ground and the windows of the building. I think the use of colours shows the gloomy and rainy weather London always has which is really effective.
